SPUN
POLYESTER THREAD :
Spun
polyester threads are produced by spinning
together the yarn of combined polyester
staples into a single bundle called
ply. Two or more plies are lined up
and twisted to make a thread of any
desires sizes. Many finishing processes
such as hot wax or silicone may be applied
in order to enhance the sewing performance
for specific applications.
Spun
polyester threads provides superior
strength and resistance to abrasion
and sunlight when compared to cotton
threads of equivalent size. The thread
can be used on apparel in sheer, lingerie
or even with heavy denim.
